An integral part of a research project in the area of “Public Policies and Education Management”, this work was constructed with the objective of identifying, systematizing and analyzing, from the perspective of Integral Education, the academic production (theses and dissertations) focused on the activities of the Student Council. This research seeks to develop knowledge about how, within a context of Comprehensive Education, elementary school students are educated regarding the possibility of active participation and engagement with the territory in which they live. Qualitative in nature, this study details the process of developing the State of Knowledge and the stages covered, from defining the source used in the research to interpreting and inferring the ideas defended in the categorized works. The rationale lies in the possibility of producing a study within the scope of an emancipatory project, whose object of study is focused on actions that consolidate the development of citizenship, autonomy, and critical thinking within the early years of elementary school. It is hoped that this study will contribute to basic education professionals in developing educational activities.
