The article highlights that the Institutional Educational Project and the School Centre Curricular Project are essential tools for transforming and improving the quality of educational entities in Chile. Although they are different, both share the objective of establishing the organizational guidelines of the educational centre: the former focuses on the ideological-organizational dynamic, while the latter focuses on the didactic-curricular dynamic. The central purpose of both documents is to enhance teaching action at the mesosystemic level, ensuring that curricular design (macro and micro level) is relevant and effectively guides the didactic process. It is emphasized that the key for both projects to be meaningful is participation. Without the execution of their proposals from a participatory standpoint, the Institutional Educational Project and the School Centre Curricular Project become a "dead letter." Within a democratic framework, active participation is the materialization of the ideology and pedagogical proposal of the educational unit. The methodology of the study was based on a literature review of pedagogical and curricular management, stemming from a problem that arose from pedagogical dialogue within an educational establishment.
