lma are a group of rare deepwater taxa that are much sought after by collectors, and in this paper, we add a new species from Western Australia. Bolma unispina n sp. occurs in deep water off Coral Bay, Western Australia. Bolma unispina differs in morphology in having a less angulate shoulder and lacks the deep suture associated with the Bolma guttata complex. As those who utilise remotely-operated-vehicles explore new environments, it is expected that more discoveries will be made, and it is the role of taxonomists to intercept these before they are dispersed into the global collections, often to be lost to science for decades.
