Managing the Cage Wash Facility

We are both managers of animal research facilities, which includes responsibility for the cage washing areas. In this chapter we frequently interchange the terms management, supervisor or operation management. No matter what term is used in your facility, the end goal is the same—to effectively manage resources and use best practices in the cage wash facility. We have written this chapter in a personal tone from our experiences and addressing what has worked for us.
