Abstract This chapter presents the variations and adaptations of the STEPS program to address the diverse needs of young autistic adults and their providers. It explains that although STEPS is primarily designed for individual delivery, group formats can enhance sustainability, efficiency, and peer support when each participant maintains individualized goals. The chapter compares in-person, hybrid, and remote implementations, emphasizing that while in-person immersion fosters stronger engagement, telehealth remains an effective alternative when necessary. It discusses flexibility in setting, pacing, and personalization, noting that sessions can occur in various environments and that timing and content should adjust to client needs, including the management of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety. Finally, the chapter defines who can deliver STEPS, underscoring the importance of providers having familiarity with autism, mental health practice, and the program’s theoretical foundation rather than specific academic credentials.
