Abstract This chapter guides the client in effective problem-solving through the ADAPT model, emphasizing self-determination and realistic goal-setting. It begins by reviewing previous exercises and encouraging reflection on progress and attitudes toward problem-solving. The chapter then helps the client set specific goals, identify actionable objectives, and select a course of action through structured decision-making. It also trains the client to anticipate potential obstacles, develop coping strategies, and apply adaptive skills such as emotional regulation and acceptance when facing challenges. Finally, the chapter instructs on implementing chosen solutions, completing immersion experiences, and maintaining progress through consistent practice, follow-up, and collaboration with the coach.
