The present study aimed to comparatively analyze the measurement of two different glucose reagents from the brands Mindray and Biosystem, processed on the Mindray BS 120 biochemical analyzer. This study is characterized as a cross-sectional study. The chosen setting was the Provincial Hospital of Cuanza Sul. The population studied consisted of all patients admitted to the Provincial Hospital of Cuanza Sul. The sample, however, was made up of 71 patients. The data obtained were as follows: the male gender accounted for 61% (n=43) of the patients tested, compared to the female gender, which accounted for 39% (n=28). patients who were tested. The age group with the highest frequency was 18 to 30 years at 28.2% (n=20), the average glucose levels of the two reagents showing a difference of 0.79 mg/dl, and a standard deviation of 1.8 mg/dL. As for the correlation variable, the two reagents also show strong correlations r = 0.991714247 ≈ 1. Our study showed a strong correlation in the results of the two reagents, thus showing that both reagents can be reliable for use in the Mindray BS 120 biochemical analyzer and provide credible results without any doubt.
