This chapter focuses on two key flow management tools in production systems: Kanban and DBR (Drum-Buffer-Rope). It provides a detailed comparison of these two approaches, discussing their operating principles, advantages, and areas of application. This chapter demonstrates how both systems, despite their differences in structure, can work together to optimize workflow and minimize waste. It also highlights their synergy, showing how integrating elements of Kanban and DBR can lead to even greater efficiency and improved process management. This chapter concludes with a case study of a company from the printing industry, which analyzes the implementation of Kanban and DBR and identifies practical mechanisms for their integration.
