This chapter presents the basics of three process improvement methods: Kaizen, DMAIC, and Five Focusing Steps. It describes the differences in each approach and focuses on revealing the similarities in the goals achieved. The importance of these methods in the continuous improvement of a company, including its processes, is emphasized. The practical applications of each method are also described, with particular attention paid to the types of projects in which they can be used and bring the greatest benefits. A key element of this chapter is the identification of synergies between these methods, taking into account their potential to complement each other.
