This chapter introduces two types of air-breathing athodyd engines: the abbreviation “athodyd” stands for aero-thermodynamic-duct. Thus, these engines are pulsejet and ramjet engines. Both have no major rotating parts (fan/compressor or turbine) and include three stationary modules: an intake (or entry duct), a combustion chamber, and a nozzle [ 1 ].
