The genus Eremiothrips Priesner, which inhabits xeric environments, is studied. The male of E. brunneus (zur Strassen) is described for the first time. Two new species, E. tetraenae sp. nov. collected from Tetraena simplex and E. xerophilus sp. nov. from Tamarix sp., are also described. A key to the Eremiothrips species lacking drepanae on abdominal tergite IX is provided.
