Inadvertent ventricular fibrillation induced by radiofrequency ablation with the lattice-tip catheter in proximity to implantable cardioverter-defibrillator leads

A novel lattice-tip dual-energy catheter capable of radiofrequency (RF) and pulsed field ablation (PFA) has gained popularity due to its versatility and very effective lesion delivery (Sphere-9, AFFERA, Medtronic). In addition to ablation for atrial arrhythmias1, it has shown promising efficacy for the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias.2 3 Recently, the induction of ventricular fibrillation (VF) has been reported with this catheter during PFA for atrial fibrillation and device malfunction has been observed after PFA and RF ablation (RFA).
