A new endemic species of Voluta from Bonaire

A new species of volute endemic to Bonaire is named from the Voluta musica complex. The Bonaire Voluta population has been recognized as geographically isolated, morphologically distinct, and is compared with the mainland species Voluta musica, Voluta damula from Curaçao, and Voluta caquetio from Aruba. This is the third shallow-water volute species from the “ABC” islands off the coast of Venezuela, with each species endemic to a single bathymetrically isolated island.
