The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of blogs as an innovative assessment strategy in environmental education in the first year of the Natural Sciences degree program at UNICAM, San Juan de Limay campus. A proposal based on the blog “Mi Diario Blog del Aprendizaje” (My Learning Diary Blog) was designed and implemented to integrate assessment processes such as self-assessment, co-assessment, and hetero-assessment. It was a descriptive study with a documentary approach, using scientific sources and digital platforms, such as Blogger, with a sample of 24 students. The results revealed active and meaningful participation, highlighting the high level of engagement in activities such as writing texts, critically analyzing videos, formulating environmental proposals, and reflecting on one's own learning. It is important to mention that the use of technology promotes critical thinking, creativity, ecological awareness, and the appropriation of knowledge from a contextualized perspective. It is concluded that the blog became a formative space where personal expression, collaborative interaction, and formative assessment converge, allowing for a transformation in the way students learn, teachers teach, and students are assessed, by linking academic content with real-world challenges. This experience aligns with the principles of Axis 6: Environment and Nature and Axis 13: Educational Quality of the National Education Strategy 2024–2026, which promote contextualized and sustainable learning.
