IOT Based Smart GPS Tracking Device With Emergency SOS Alert System.

In today’s world, ensuring the safety and real-time location monitoring of people and valuable assets has become very important. A smart tracking system helps users know the exact location of a person or object and quickly respond in emergency situations. This project presents a Smart Tracking Device using a microcontroller, GPS module, Wi-Fi communication, SOS button, LCD display, and buzzer, designed to provide real-time location tracking and emergency alert functionality. The system uses a GPS module to continuously receive satellite signals and determine the accurate geographic location in terms of latitude and longitude. A microcontroller (such as ESP8266 or ESP32) processes the GPS data and transmits the location information through a Wi-Fi network to a web dashboard or mobile device for remote monitoring. The current status and coordinates can also be displayed on an LCD display, allowing local monitoring of the device. An SOS emergency button is integrated into the system to provide immediate assistance in critical situations. When the button is pressed, the system triggers a buzzer alarm and instantly sends the location information to the monitoring platform, enabling quick response from caregivers or authorities. The buzzer also acts as an alert indicator to signal an emergency condition.
