Anatomy is the backbone of pharmacy and healthcare education, yet traditional cadaver-based dissection often comes with barriers-limited resources, ethical concerns, and restricted accessibility. In today’s digital era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming this landscape through virtual dissection and interactive anatomy learning platforms. These tools replace static textbooks and one-time dissections with immersive 3D models, augmented and virtual reality, and AI-powered tutors that adapt to each learner’s pace. For pharmacy students, this means not only a deeper understanding of human anatomy but also the ability to repeatedly explore, visualize, and practice without limitations. AI-driven systems bring anatomy to life-highlighting structures, simulating physiological processes, and offering real-time feedback that strengthens comprehension. They reduce dependency on cadavers, make learning more sustainable, and align with the evolving digital preferences of today’s learners. At the same time, challenges such as cost, accessibility, and the need for digital literacy cannot be ignored. This review explores the shift from conventional to AI-enabled anatomy education, highlighting its potential to create more engaging, personalized, and future-ready pharmacists. By bridging theory with practice, AI-driven virtual dissection is not just a teaching tool-it is a gateway to reimagining pharmacy education for the next generation.
