Selenginsky fishery area of Lake Baikal. Part 2

This article continues the acquaintance with the Selenginsky fishing area of Lake Baikal, which began in the previous issue of the magazine “Fisheries” (No. 2, 2026). Recall that the Selenginsky fishing area is the oldest and most productive on Lake Baikal. It plays a major role in the reproduction of the Baikal omul of the Selenga and embassy populations. The first part of the article describes the area and shows its specific features in comparison with other fishing areas of Lake Baikal.
