Technology transfer of an institutional system for managing after-school activities

Digital transformation is a key factor in strengthening institutional management and improving educational processes in higher education. The objective of this study was to analyze the technology transfer and implementation of the Extracurricular Activities Management System [SICAE], developed at the Lerma Institute of Technology and transferred to the Cancún Institute of Technology to strengthen the management of students’ holistic development. An applied approach with an evaluative scope was used, as the process included: institutional diagnosis, transfer of the technological solution, user training, operational adaptation of the system, and evaluation of its performance. The results showed that the implementation of the system enabled the digitization of administrative processes, the centralization of institutional information, and the generation of indicators to support decision-making. It is concluded that technology transfer represents a viable strategy for accelerating digital transformation and strengthening innovation in higher education institutions.
