Formation and development of Russo-Brazilian economic and trade relations in 1991–2016

This paper examines the evolution of Russo-Brazilian relations in the trade and economic sphere from 1991 to 2016. It describes the principles, main directions and results of the development of Russo-Brazilian relations in the field of trade and economic cooperation in the period 1991–2016. The issue of the formation of Russo-Brazilian relations since 1991 is considered, the state of relations, trade exchange and its nomenclature are characterized. The main directions and trends in the development of Russo-Brazilian relations in the field of trade and economic cooperation are determined. The reasons for the rapprochement between Russia and Brazil are identified and the changes in the trade and economic sphere compared to the previous decade are considered. In conclusion, Russo-Brazilian relations, based on the economic diversification of markets, have experienced significant growth in the field of bilateral trade and this has allowed for new promising areas contributing to the further deepening of bilateral relations.
