This technical report examines the spatial configuration and usage of classroom units in Vienna’s Education Campuses, developed in response to contemporary educational reforms emphasizing individualized, group, and self-directed learning. Based on architectural drawings analysis and on-site observations of five campuses, the study clarifies the configuration, area composition, and functional relationships of key spaces, including “Bildungsraum” and “Multipurpose-spaces”. The findings reveal how unit-based planning, characterized by large shared spaces and flexible furniture arrangements, supports diverse learning activities and offers valuable insights for future school planning in Japan.
