Gap Analysis Between The Implementation of Operational Level Environmental Management Systems and Integrated Green Supply Chain Management Practices

The implementation of an Environmental Management System (EMS) is an important approach to improving a company's environmental performance. However, its implementation often focuses on internal management and has not been fully integrated with Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices. This study aims to analyze the extent to which internal environmental management capabilities reflected in the EMS are implemented in GSCM practices at PT. IAMBEU Mina Utama, as well as to identify priority indicators and formulate recommendations for improvement. This study uses a quantitative-evaluative approach with an applied case study method. The analysis was conducted using the Green SCOR framework, which includes the Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return processes. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, directed interviews, field observations, and document studies. Data were analyzed using gap analysis and prioritization based on the level of impact and urgency of improvement. The results show that the company's EMS implementation is high, especially in aspects of operational procedures, environmental control, and personnel awareness. However, GSCM implementation is not optimal. The highest gaps were found in the Return, Deliver, and Plan processes, which indicate the need to strengthen reverse logistics, waste management, environmentally friendly distribution, and integrate sustainability into planning. Priority KPIs include waste monitoring, circular economy, single-use plastic reduction, distribution emissions monitoring, supplier environmental evaluation, energy efficiency, and production waste management. The study concluded that the company has a strong EMS foundation, but sustainability integration throughout the supply chain still needs to be strengthened. Practical implications include the need to develop reverse logistics, strengthen green procurement, monitor supply chain environmental performance, and integrate sustainability indicators into the company's performance system.
