Data Management Plan for Pilot Project: Understanding Professional Identity Development in Pre-Registration Biomedical Scientists; the Role of Screen-Based Simulation

This is a pilot study, testing and refining a reflective diary and related instruments ahead of a larger doctoral study exploring how professional identity develops during placement in pre-registration biomedical scientists. 4–5 undergraduate biomedical science students will complete a short weekly online reflective diary over 5 weeks and a validated professional identity questionnaire once. In week 6, all participants receive a feedback email, and a subset are invited to a brief, recorded follow-up conversation about their diary answers. Findings will refine the instruments and inform the design of the main study.
