This chapter aims to introduce the concept and implementation of programmatic assessment within the context of DBL in international hospitality education. It focuses on helping students take ownership of their learning while monitoring their progress in learning, researching and designing. It also highlights how assessment can be woven into the design of learning activities, supporting alignment with the use of feed up, feedback and feed forward. Moreover, practical tools are provided to support these processes, offering educators effective ways to align assessment with the collaborative and iterative nature of DBL.
