Storytelling as a tool in the teaching of Plant Physiology, in view of the stigmas of the teaching of Botany is at the heart of this research remedy difficulties with complex terminologies, contextualization and student engagement. Four narrative booklets were developed, applied in a simulated high school class in the component of Teaching Practices VI in the Biology degree of IFB - Campus Planaltina, evaluating the performance in activities, success rates and perceptions of students. The proposal favored the understanding of concepts and technical terms, stimulated collaborative work and practical application of content, raising success with the use of booklets based on fanciful narratives. There were repeated hindrances to the ψ w code, indicating a need for improvements in the booklets and in the introductory lesson. Still, it was found that Storytelling is a moldable, low-cost and effective active methodology, and its expansion in the teaching of Botany is promising.
