The broiler chicken industry is essential for global food security and economic growth, contributing significantly to employment, revenue generation, and international trade. This chapter examines the role of data sharing among key stakeholders, including breeder farms, feed suppliers, growers, processors, and retailers, in optimizing productivity, ensuring food safety, improving broiler health and welfare, and promoting sustainability. Accurate and timely data exchange facilitates improved decision-making across all stages of production, from genetic selection and hatchery management to processing and distribution, while improving broiler health and welfare. The integration of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) is explored for its potential to enhance real-time monitoring, disease management, and resource efficiency. However, challenges such as technological disparities, data security risks, and reluctance to share information due to competitive concerns persist. Strategies to address these barriers, including policy support, capacity building, and collaborative data-sharing frameworks, are discussed to foster a more resilient and data-driven broiler chicken production sector.
