This chapter focuses on analyzing constraints in the printing industry. This industry was chosen due to its specific requirements, diverse production flow, and economic significance. Printing companies are distinguished by a wide range of products, which makes identifying constraints a difficult task, but also an interesting area for research on detecting and eliminating these constraints. Research conducted on a representative sample of printing companies identified 26 constraints that block their development. This chapter describes the constraints most frequently indicated by respondents depending on the size of the company. The identified constraints were divided into five main groups: operational, market, organizational, managerial, and social. The research sample included 237 companies from the printing industry in country. This chapter discusses how each type of constraint affects the functioning of companies in this industry, highlighting differences in the approach to managing constraints depending on their nature. In addition, this chapter examined whether there is a correlation between the size of the company and potential constraints.
