Sustainability has also become one of the key interests of organizations that are active in the modern Logistics Systems context, and it came as a strategic initiative to decrease the environmental footprint and improve the efficiency of operations. Forecasting Analytics is a proactive product that enables the achievement of the sustainability goals by the use of Cognitive Computing. The current paper explores the importance of adoption of Cognitive Computing in Logistics Systems and it will look at how Forecasting Analytics plays a mediating role between Cognitive Computing implementation and environmental performance. the dependent and independent variables of Cognitive Computing usage, predictive analytics, and environmental performance are evaluated based on a sample of 400 medium to large-sized enterprises in Jordan and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that there is a positive correlation between the use of Cognitive Computing and the implementation of predictive analytics, which in turn is expressed in the significant changes in the environmental conditions, which are reflected in the decreases in the level of waste, energy usage, and carbon emissions. the article highlights the centrality of Forecasting Analytics in realization of Cognitive Computing capabilities in attaining real-life sustainability. The findings can be useful to those organizations that wish to incorporate the use of Cognitive Computing and Forecasting Analytics into the green Logistics Systems management operations.
