Sequential Pd-catalyzed auxiliary-assisted γ-C(sp3)-H alkenylation and cyclization of N-protected amines with allyl electrophiles has been accomplished to furnish optically active δ-vinyl pyrrolidines that are privileged cores in diverse bioactive molecules and natural products. The diastereoselectivity, functional group diversity and late-stage modifications of the natural products are the important practical features.
