Proposed model to facilitate the surgical localization of the sentinel lymph node in gynecological tumors.

OBJECTIVE: To propose a model to facilitate the surgical localization and excision of the sentinel lymph node in gynecological tumors. METHODOLOGY: This was an observational, cross-sectional, retrospective, and descriptive study incorporating data from patients who underwent sentinel lymph node biopsy for gynecological tumors between May 2020 and August 2025. RESULTS: The assumptions of linearity, normality, independence, and homoscedasticity of residuals were verified. Subsequently, a simple linear regression analysis model was performed, yielding a predictive equation for surgical count rates: Y = 26,918 + 0.056*SPECT/CT Counts (R2 = 0,925). This equation demonstrated applicability in a small sample of patients. CONCLUSIONS: The SPECT/CT counts helps estimate the surgical count rate using a predictive equation. However, studies with larger sample sizes are needed to obtain a more precise equation with greater clinical applicability.
