The evidence on CRF non‑pharmacological management in prostate cancer patients summarized in this study can provide clinical healthcare professionals with an evidence‑based foundation. Based on this, clinicians can standardize CRF non‑pharmacological interventions to effectively reduce patients' fatigue and improve their quality of life.
OBJECTIVE: To identify, appraise, and synthesize the best available evidence on non‑pharmacological management of cancer‑related fatigue (CRF) in prostate cancer patients, providing an evidence-based foundation for clinical practice.
METHODS: A systematic search for evidence on CRF non-pharmacological management in prostate cancer patients was conducted across evidence-based databases, guideline networks, and professional association websites from database inception to 20 November 2024. Three evidence-trained investigators independently assessed study quality and extracted and synthesized the evidence.
RESULTS: Thirteen papers (four guidelines, two clinical decisions, four expert consensuses, and three systematic reviews) provided 23 pieces of evidence across nine domains, addressing non‑pharmacological management strategies for prostate CRF.
CONCLUSIONS: The evidence on CRF non‑pharmacological management in prostate cancer patients summarized in this study can provide clinical healthcare professionals with an evidence‑based foundation. Based on this, clinicians can standardize CRF non‑pharmacological interventions to effectively reduce patients' fatigue and improve their quality of life.
