This paper reviewed the concept,common protocols,mechanisms of gut-directed hypnotherapy,and its application in patients with irritable bowel syndrome,so as to provide some references for promoting the standardized application of gut⁃directed hypnotherapy in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.
