The interplay of linguistic and perceptual experience in shaping size perception

The project is a collaboration between the University of Pavia (Italy) and the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). This project investigates how linguistic, visual, and tactile experiences jointly shape size representations in sighted and blind individuals. Across four experiments, we leverage distributional semantic models and image-based computational models to quantify experiential priors, examining both explicit size judgments and implicit chronometric performance in an auditory size-comparison task.
