Acute Flaccid Paralysis Followed by Guillain-Barré Syndrome in West Nile Virus Infection: A Case Report.

Neuroinvasive West Nile virus infection can present with a broad spectrum of neurologic manifestations, creating diagnostic and management challenges. We report a case that initially presented with acute flaccid paralysis and subsequently evolved to include features consistent with Guillain-Barré syndrome during hospitalization. This case highlights the dynamic nature of neuromuscular involvement in neuroinvasive West Nile virus infection and the importance of ongoing clinical reassessment as neurologic findings evolve.
