Meckel's Diverticulum Causing Small Bowel Obstruction in Male Patients: A Case Series.

Meckel's diverticulum is a congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract, resulting from an incomplete obliteration of the vitello-intestinal duct. Generally, Meckel's diverticulum is asymptomatic, but it can present as intestinal perforation, obstruction, hemorrhage, and diverticulitis. These complications can develop through various mechanisms such as volvulus, adhesions, intussusception, and internal hernia. Small bowel obstruction due to a meso-diverticular band of Meckel's diverticulum is a rare complication. Herein, we present a case series of three male patients presenting with intestinal obstruction due to a band of Meckel's diverticulum.
