Necropsy of a Réunion Harrier (Circus maillardi), August 2023, revealed adult trematode fragments and eggs associated with severe hepatobiliary lesions. The trematode was confirmed as Platynosomum illiciens by PCR and DNA sequencing. This case raises potential conservation concerns for this endangered raptor and highlights the need for further epidemiologic investigations.
