The finding of a vermiform appendix as the content of an inguinal hernia sac is rare. Even rarer is the finding of an inflamed appendix in the hernia sac, referred to as Amyand's hernia. We report a case of a 5-year-old boy who presented with an inflamed appendix as the content of an incarcerated right inguinal hernia.
