[IA5.1]The use [IA6.1]of artificial intelligence (AI) in academic scientific production is transforming the writing, review and publication of articles. However, its implementation raises ethical concerns about academic integrity, authorship and data manipulation. Therefore, the present research addresses the problem of how to achieve ethical use in scientific publications without losing the credibility of the knowledge generated. Therefore, its justification highlights the exponential growth of the use of AI tools in indexed scientific publications of academic impact given the imminent lack of clear regulations in this type of journal. Under a mixed methodological context: a bibliometric analysis of articles on AI and ethics in scientific publications was carried out, complemented with a sampling of 116 researchers in different fields of knowledge. The results show that, although AI optimizes the efficiency of the research process, it also raises concerns about transparency, originality and authors' responsibility. Finally, it is necessary to develop clear ethical guidelines for the use of AI in scientific production and to promote the training of researchers in its responsible application.
