Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) has become a key pillar of global scientific research, especially after the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015. This study aimed to analyze the annual growth of scientific production in ESD between 2011 and 2025 through a bibliometric approach. A total of 5,000 documents were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using the bibliometrix package in RStudio, examining indicators such as annual output, average citations, keywords, publication sources, co-citation networks, and geographic distribution. The results revealed sustained growth since 2011, with a turning point in 2019, strong international collaboration, and thematic concentration in higher education, curriculum, and sustainability competencies. The most productive journals were Sustainability and the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. Key documents, thematic clusters, and influential authors were identified. It is concluded that ESD represents a mature, diverse, and expanding field with significant implications for educational transformation, although challenges remain regarding thematic inclusiveness and geographic equity in scientific output.
