A new paradigm for understanding among healthcare professionals is the study of "The 10 Causes of Disease," its concepts, case studies, and statistics, and its practical application for preventive and predictive care, scientific research, and the development of preventive and predictive programs related to this topic. One of these Causes of Disease is Hidden Hunger, defined as when a person is eating but not being nourished. Therefore, a literature review on the Causes of Disease was conducted using various meta-search engines. Subsequently, the literature on these same causes of disease was verified using the Metabolic Diagnostic Techniques Application System (ATDM System). The case studies and statistics of the ATDM System Protocol were also reviewed. The ATDM System is the only multicenter, multi-country clinical study conducted on the causes of disease, involving more than 6,000 people (n=6,208) in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Guatemala, the test called "Metabolic Assessment" was applied using the methodology of the System of Application of Techniques for Metabolic Diagnosis (ATDM System), with the objective of identifying, through Bioimpedance and Capillaroscopy studies, the statistics corresponding to Hidden Hunger and its specific types, as well as the factors that trigger it, and its investigation in order to establish a Preventive-Predictive Health Care Model.
