Objective: The present study determined the relationship between banking and financial education among the employes of the Banco de la Nación at the Chancay branch, with the purpose of understanding how access to and use of banking services affects the financial competencies of the staff. Methodology: The research was applied, with a quantitative approach, correlational level, and non-experimental cross-sectional design; a 20-item Likert scale questionnaire was administered to the 27 agency workers, selected through convenience sampling, and the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test was used for statistical analysis. Results: A moderate positive correlation was found between banking and financial education (Rho = 0.429; p = 0.026), as well as significant relationships between passive economic operations (Rho = 0.462; p = 0.015) and active economic operations (Rho = 0.453; p = 0.018) with financial education. Conclusions: The regular use of banking products and services, both in passive and active operations, contributed to the strengthening of the staff's financial skills and knowledge. These findings supported the theory of financial inclusion and demonstrated that staff training, the development of good technological infrastructure, and the promotion of the use of digital channels are important strategies for achieving responsible banking. It was recommended to expand the sample size in future studies and incorporate the analysis of the impact of fintech on financial education.
