Objective: Systemic intoxication was studied from a clinical biosemiotics perspective to understand how frequent it is and how high the risk associated with metabolic assessment syndromes is. This aids early diagnosis in a preventive approach. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive, and correlational study was conducted, based on the iterative methodology of the System for Applying Techniques for Metabolic Diagnosis (ATDM System), using the Big Data database from the research protocol with 6,276 metabolic assessments (ages 2–90) carried out in Mexico, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and Colombia; bioimpedance and capillaroscopy tests were integrated, and the data were processed thru DCU, ELT, and KDD phases to identify metabolic assessment patterns and diagnostic indicators, and to construct metabolic assessment syndromes. Results: It was found that 66% (4,203/6,276) of cases presented with systemic intoxication. Exogenous poisoning accounted for 26.88% (n = 1687) and was more common in individuals who use or abuse substances (19%). Additionally, endogenous intoxication was associated with changes in the microbiome, which is linked to leaky guts. Risks for associated syndromes were reported: homeostatic imbalance (26% low, 23% moderate, 2% high), leaky gut (44% low, 16% moderate, 7% high), and exogenous imbalance (10% low, 8% moderate, 2% high). Conclusions: The ATDM System helped identify early signals in real time and estimate frequencies and risks, opening pathways for prevention, risk stratification, and the study of detoxification treatments based on metabolic data and the integration of omics information.
