According to the unanimous assessment of observers, Pentecostal-Charismatic movements constitute the fastest-growing branch of global Christianity today. Based on this observation, it makes sense to reconstruct the origins of these movements and, subsequently, to trace their spread in particular. In doing so, we will also examine the reasons for their widespread impact. Since the growth of Pentecostal-Charismatic Christianity varies greatly from region to region, the underlying causes must also be considered here. This will be explored in greater depth with regard to the German-speaking world.
