This research is motivated by the gap between the ideal conditions of Indonesian language learning and the reality in the classroom, especially in rhyme writing skills. Learning to write rhymes in grade V of elementary school still does not utilize optimal media so that it is less able to foster students' creativity. The purpose of this study is to find out the application of Monotun media in the learning of rhymes in grade V of elementary school. The method used is field research with a qualitative approach. The research process was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain relevant data on the effectiveness of the use of Monotone media. The results of the study show that the application of Monotun media is able to help students in practicing rhyme writing skills in a more structured and creative manner. This media makes it easier for students to understand rhyme patterns and rhyme rhythms, as well as increase learning motivation because the presentation of the material is more interesting and interactive. The conclusion of the study confirms that Monotun media is feasible to be applied in learning to write rhymes in grade V elementary school as an innovative alternative that supports the achievement of Indonesian language learning goals, especially in the aspect of creative writing skills.
