Floristic Composition, Community Structure and Biological Spectrum of Vegetation at Sarsawa Hills District Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir

The study was carried out at different sites of Sarsawa Hills, District Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir.The main objective of this study was to determine floristic composition and community structure of the vegetation of the area.The study area represents sub-tropical climate.Most of the surveys of these studies were conducted during summer 2023-24.A total of 92 plant species belonging to 41 families and 83 genera, were recorded from the study area.The families Amaranthaceae, Asteraceae and Lamiaceae were leading dominant families with 9 species each.It was followed by Fabaceae (8 species), Poaceae (5 species), Malvaceae (4 species), Rosaceae (4 species) and Acanthaceae (4 species).The families Cannabaceae, Rhamnaceae, Boranginaceae, Ebenaceae, Meliaceae, Moraceae and Convolvulaceae were represented by 2 species each.All the other families including Oleaceae, Pinaceae, Sapindaceae,
