Producciones audiovisuales para la educación primaria intercultural en Tijuana

This paper describes the educational intervention carried out by academics from the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology (FCITEC) of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) during the 2024-1 academic year. The project was carried out with students from the Escuela Primaria 06 de abril de 1857 in Tijuana, Baja California, who participated in developing audiovisual content related to the recognition of cultural diversity in their community. The activities were part of an inter-faculty research project with the aim of exploring the phenomenon of intercultural education and the development of skills among immigrant children enrolled in elementary schools in Baja California; to this end, the project-based methodology was used to work with children from vulnerable communities. It is concluded that the speed of migratory flows prevents academia from carrying out educational research projects within the established institutional frameworks; and on the other hand, responsiveness and constant adaptation allow the development of new project schemes and innovative pedagogical practices for intercultural education in Tijuana.
