Misinformation is a growing mediator of health outcomes. This capstone paper and poster quantifies and characterizes health misinformation on social media; analyzes research on algorithms' amplification and deprioritization of different messengers and message characteristics; and highlights the unique vulnerabilities of adolescent neurodevelopment in this context. It provides tools and approaches to build critical digital source evaluation, health literacy, and critical media literacy skills in adolescents.
