Team model nursing care is an effort to improve the quality of nursing services at the Ahmad Yani Islamic Hospital, Surabaya.Objective: Based on the phenomenon of various issues that arise while patients are treated in the ICU, one of them is the unclear information from the medical team about the disease, which is not explained by the nurses or doctors to the patients and their families. This results in poor caring behavior from the nurses, such as poor communication, lack of empathy, slow and inadequate actions, giving an impression of unprofessionalism. The anxiety experienced by the patient's family in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is due to concerns about the patient's condition, which requires special attention from the staff. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the anxiety of patients' families in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of RS Islam Ahmad Yani Surabaya. Method : This study uses an analytical observational method with a cross- sectional design. The sampling technique employed is simple random sampling with a total of 110 respondents. Results : The analysis results show that the Spearman rank correlation test p-value = 0.00 < 0.05, thus H1 is accepted, which means there is a relationship between the nurses' caring behavior and the anxiety of the patients' families in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of RS Islam Surabaya A.Yani. According to the researchers' assumption, negative caring behavior of nurses is related to the anxiety of the patient's family because the family's worry and assessment of the nurses' caring behavior are still perceived as suboptimal. Respondents rated the caring behavior of nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as negative (82.7%) and indicated that the majority of respondents experienced severe anxiety (70.9%). Conclusion : There is a relationship between the caring behavior of nurses and the anxiety of patients' families in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of RS Islam Ahmad Yani Surabaya. This shows that the anxiety of the patient's family is influenced by the level of care and attention provided by the nurse to the patient.
