Elderly people living in nursing homes experience more complex sleep disorders, evidenced by frequent nighttime awakenings, difficulty falling asleep, and waking up in the middle of the night. This study aimed to determine the effect of binaural beats music therapy on sleep quality in elderly people living in a nursing home in Surabaya. Type study This is pre experimental one group pre-post-test design. The population of this study was all elderly people with a minimum care category of 23 respondents. The sample of 23 respondents used the Purposive Sampling Technique Variables independent therapy music binaural beats , And variables dependent on the quality of sleep of the elderly in a nursing home in Surabaya. Data collection using the PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) questionnaire and SOP binaural beats music therapy were then analyzed using the Paired T-Test, obtained ρ = 0.0001 < α 0.05. Results study obtained as big as 23 respondents (100%) own sleep quality from poor to good. The analysis results obtained ρ = 0.0001 < α 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, indicating that there is an effect of binaural beats music therapy on the sleep quality of the elderly in one of the nursing homes in Surabaya. Binaural beats music therapy has an impact on sleep quality for seniors at a nursing home in Surabaya. Therefore, the nursing home is expected to implement and provide binaural beats music therapy to reduce poor sleep quality in the elderly.
