This bibliometric study covers 415 academic articles published between January 2010 and May 2025. The study reveals the dynamics of scientific production in the field by analysing the distribution of keywords, authors, institutions, countries, publication types and years. As a result of the analysis, it is seen that the most frequently used concepts are ‘work accidents’, “safety” and ‘occupational health and safety’; Italy, Spain and Turkey are among the most cited countries. Authors such as Lafuente, Esteban; Jacinto, Celeste and Allmanova, Zuzana stand out in terms of both number of publications and collaborative power, while Portugal and Brazil stand out in terms of publication density. Most of the studies were concentrated in the categories of engineering, ergonomics and public health; English was by far the dominant language of publication. There was a significant increase in publications in the 2019-2021 period, which was evaluated as a reflection of the increasing interest in occupational safety issues in the post-pandemic period. Using bibliometric analysis method, the development trends of the literature, productive institutions and research foci were comprehensively examined with the help of various bibliometric visualisation tools. Publication performance was evaluated in terms of title words, author-defined keywords and Keywords Plus (automatic keywords assigned by Web of Science). In addition, co-authorship relationships, keyword matches, institutional affiliations, cited topics (meso level), countries/regions, document types, publication languages, journals, publication years, publishing houses, research areas, researcher profiles, Sustainable Development Goals and Web of Science categories were analysed in detail.
