Investigating Coastal Tourism Governance: A Bibliometric Analysis Using Biblioshiny and Vosviewer

This study aimed to investigate trends, patterns, and contributions in the academic literature on coastal tourism governance using bibliometric analysis. Bibliometric method was used with software RStudio (particularly Biblioshiny) and VOSviewer. These tools were specifically used to analyze, map, and visualize publishing trends in 51 peer-reviewed publications published across 38 sources. The metadata for these articles were obtained from Scopus. The results showedthat publications on coastal tourism governance had fluctuated over the past two decades. Furthermore, this analysis identified the most cited publications, as well as the contributions by various authors, institutions, countries, collaborative networks, and keyword trends related to coastal tourism governance. The main topic of coastal tourism governance research, based on thematic and word cloud analysis, was “Governance Approach”. By examining the development of prevailing themes and their historical expansion, this study also made a significant contextual contribution to the literature on coastal tourism governance.
